Tree District Books Proudly Announces Four Recently Signed Authors

As you know, we are a newer company (we just started in late 2017). We have been working hard to get our name out there and appreciate your help.

Our editing, writing, coaching, and marketing services have been treating us well, but we are especially excited to kick our publishing division into high gear. It's an area that we feel has the highest potential.

After reading these bios, we hope you feel the same.

Ellen Matzer

Ellen was a nurse on the frontline during the HIV/AIDS epidemic in New York City. Her, along with fellow writer, Valery Hughes, have an incredible story to tell about their experiences, struggles, and triumphs.

Ellen is still a nurse today and has been for nearly four decades. She worked in all areas of critical care until 1985 when she was compelled to leave the critical care units for a new opportunity to work exclusively with AIDS Patients.

Ellen is currently a clinical educator at NYU Winthrop Hospital and on the clinical faculty at the VEEB LPN school.

Valery Hughes

Valery also served on the frontline as a nurse during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Her compelling story intersects significantly with Ellen's and together they provide a lens into nursing care during that incredibly challenging time.

Valery has been a nurse practitioner for over 20 years. For the past 18 years she has worked in clinical trials at the Cornell Clinical Trials Unit, part of Weill Cornell Medicine. The focus of her work is HIV therapeutics, complications, and prevention. She is an active program planner and speaker for the AIDS Education and Training Center.

Quentin Forberg

Quentin is writing a collection of works, compromised of poetry and short stories. The collection is a transformative journey that will challenge your outlook and leave you pondering and reflecting.

He is a 21 year old writer from Chicago, Illinois. He was born in Montpellier, France but moved to the United States after 2 years. He now studies Business Administration at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Byron

Byron is a bit of a maverick. He specializes in "Guerilla Social Studies" and is determined to capture American culture and philosophy in all of its glory, warts, inconsistencies, dissonance, and beauty.

He is working on several pieces, some fictional, others academic. His Tales American is set for release soon. Subscribe and receive an early copy for free.
